What Does Great Oral Health Care Actually Include?

What Does Great Oral Health Care Actually Include?

Most of us learned the basics as kids: brush twice a day, do not forget to floss. Those habits matter, but truly healthy teeth and gums come from a partnership between the care you give at home and the care you get in the office.

At home

The fundamentals still win. Brushing for two full minutes twice a day, flossing once a day to clean where a brush cannot reach, and easing up on sugary and acidic drinks prevent the vast majority of problems. Technique matters as much as time, which is something we are always happy to coach during a visit.

In the office

Professional cleanings remove the hardened tartar that brushing cannot, and regular exams catch small issues, a tiny cavity, early gum inflammation, a cracked filling, while they are still easy and inexpensive to treat. For most people, every six months is the right rhythm, though some benefit from coming in a little more often.

Modern tools let us see more than ever, so problems are spotted earlier and treated more conservatively.

The payoff

Good oral health protects more than your smile. It supports your overall health and saves you from bigger, costlier treatment later. If it has been a while since your last visit, there is no judgment here, just a warm welcome. Book a cleaning and we will get you back on track.
